Workshop: Wheel Throwing

Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

11 Jan 2020 to 19 Jan 2020

Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) presents Learning to turn clay on a pottery wheel can be both highly rewarding and highly frustrating! Getting your clay to behave on a pottery wheel requires patience and practice. This workshop offers students the opportunity to gain additional experience and personal tuition from wheel expert Kerrie Docker.

Kerrie will lead students through a series of exercises to improving your confidence and techniques on the wheel, before helping students complete a couple of projects to fire and glaze.

The workshop will be spread over two weekends at Table Top Pots studio.

Murray Art Museum Albury has five to seven exhibitions on at any given time. A visit to the museum includes a visit to MAMA Store, featuring independent Australian designers and makers from the Murray region. Canvas Eatery is located on the ground floor of the museum, and takes in the sunny aspect of the QEII Square gardens.

MAMA is open seven days a week, and entry to the museum is always free.
