The Coolac Hotel, formerly known as the ‘Beehive’, is a circa 1862 hotel with plenty of character. The hotel has a fully functional bar with five beers on tap. They have recently added a beautiful coffee shop, Cafe 303, offering barista coffee and tempting snacks. There is a beer garden and large verandas which add to the country pub atmosphere. It was a popular haunt for the poet Henry Lawson. There are also four accommodation rooms on offer on the grounds.
The hotel is situated in the village of Coolac, half way between Sydney and Melbourne on the Hume Highway.
Free camping is available out the back.
