Morrall’s Bakery, the famous little hub for its pies and freshly baked bread, has been an iconic spot in Bourke for over 110 years for both locals and tourists. Generating from the local family the Morrall’s, and began a family tradition of being handed down from Father to Son with the legacy ending with the much loved Alan Morrall his wife Cynthia Morrall and their son Mark.
The Bakery didn’t stray too far from family with long term worker John Milgate. John knew the family and loved the bakery starting his career off at the age of 13 after school, four years later John finished school and took up an apprenticeship with Alan Morrall and Mark Morrall. John along with his wife Tanya Milgate are now the very proud owners of Morrall’s Bakery and along with their family are baking away keeping the iconic bakery’s traditions alive.
