With retro windows, a distinctive ceiling, ‘smoked’ from a fire some decades ago, groovy soft lighting and the original floor boards – Re:Publik Cafe is set up in one of the most distinguished shops in Ettalong Beach.
The shop was a furniture store, a haberdashery, a newsagency, an office and has now – after a few changes – become a cafe. There are lots of good culinary reasons to visit the café: they source the best fresh produce for customers, have coffee that is ethically sustainable, freshly baked pastries and cakes—all dishes are prepared to order.
The Re:Publik Cafe supports local regional artists, providing them with the opportunity to promote and market their work in featured themed exhibitions. Re:Publik Cafe hosts ever changing exhibitions with painting and sculptures showcasing works from creative local artists. The cafe welcomes proposals from regional artists. The Cafe is also committed to assist the artists with promotion and future exhibitions. The aim is always to make the works available to guests of the cafe and to show art they have not been displayed before. All works are for sale and all proceeds are passed on to the artists.
