Valentina’s welcomes you with spectacular views across the water, billowing curtains, cream walls and linen and comfy banquettes, all simple and bright and light. Valentina presents you dishes of Italian inspired delights, of fresh bright tomatoes and basil, of mozzarella and flame grilled prawns, of paper thin small goods and seafood platters, fresh oysters and whipped cod roe, and a wine list worth exploring by the glass. The style is relaxed and contemporary, and you are in good hands with excellent table service; but Valentina’s also gives good bar, and is open throughout the afternoon. The Sydney Good Food Guide says Valentina is a “love letter to the long lunch” but Valentina should be loved right through the softly darkening twilight into the evenings too.
