Moruya is a lovely inland town on the Eurobodalla coast. It’s a great base for exploring the surrounding coastline with its bays, beaches and headlands such as Moruya Heads, Congo and Bingie Bingie east of the town.
Moruya sits on the beautiful Moruya River; lower Deua that originates in the mountains of Deua National Park. The river is an idyllic place to kayak and fishing from Preddey’s wharf at Moruya Head is a local favourite. Dolphin Beach also at Moruya Heads is a great surf spot where resident dolphins are often spied surfing the waves too.
If you’re in town on Saturday make sure you visit the Moruya Country markets. Here you’ll find local arts and crafts, bric-a-brac, fresh local produce not to mention great coffee.
The Bingie Dreaming track is a stunning coastal walk that extends from Congo to the northern side of Tuross Head.
