Your perfect destination for relaxing on the Murrumbidgee river bank, water skiing with friends or just soaking up the ambience of the majestic river red gums.

Narrandera (nə-RAN-dər-ə) once you get the pronunciation right you’re in with the locals.

The Wiradjuri Aborigines were the first inhabitants of this area and managed the land here for many thousands of years. Wiradjuuri people from this region have a deep connection with the Murrumbidgee River and its surrounds.

According to our local elders of today, the word Narrandera means ‘place of many lizards’ (Eastern Bearded Dragon).
