Stanwell Park

Urban

Stanwell Park is a residential suburb, thought to be named after the villages of Stanwell on the south side of London. It is the first of several pretty coastal towns south of the Royal National Park, on Lawrence Hargrave Drive.

It’s a popular beach for surfing and picnics and an easy day trip from Sydney.

Stanwell Park and Stanwell Tops have a special place in aviation history with Lawrence Hargrave performing many of his experiments with box kits in this location.

The Grand Pacific Drive passes through Stanwell Park on its spectacular route along the coast to the South Coast. Stop at Sea Cliff Bridge, located between Coalcliff and Clifton, for a walk along this engineering masterpiece.
