With its stately Norfolk Island pines and pelicans on the water, it’s hard to find a more idyllic coastal location than Tuross Head. Set on a spectacular headland, the town is surrounded by ocean beaches on one side and a network of tidal lakes on the other. The lakes offer exceptional kayaking, fishing and boating and there are also walking trails, swimming and bird watching in Eurobodalla National Park – a 30 minute drive away.
One end of the Bingie Dreaming Track leaves from Tuross Head. This spectacular coastal walk follows part of the dreaming track used by the Brinja-Yuin people, offering vantage points for whale watching, eucalyptus forests, heathlands and wildflowers in spring and a variety of birds all year round.
