Hale River Homestead is a peaceful, scenic station stay situated on the Binns Track in the East MacDonnell Ranges. We offer camping, powered caravan sites, and fully equipped self-contained accommodation. Live like a 1900’s pastoralist in the Old Homestead, The Cottage, The Gen Shed or experience life as a station-hand in our Bunkhouse (perfect for the budget traveler).
Surrounded by some spectacular scenery, there are interesting bush walks and mountain biking trails passing picturesque waterholes and a large lake. Visit Arltunga Historical Reserve and learn about the gold rush of Central Australia, drive to Frederick’s Lookout for a spectacular view of the surrounding ranges, visit the natural beauty of Ruby Gap, or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of the wide-open spaces.
