Art Exhibition – Artists of Ampilatwatja

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Salon Indigenous Art Projects is launching an exciting new contemporary art space in Darwin CBD. Opening in the old Viva La Body store on Cavenagh St, the exhibition venue will profile Indigenous fine artists from the Top End and central Australian regions.

Launching with a survey show from the Artists of Ampilatwatja (based near Alice Springs), this exhibition profiles artists who are famous for their unique bush medicine and desert landscape depictions. A point of difference to their work is the application of fine dots and bright, figurative depiction of the land.
