Biddlecombe Cascades

National Parks and Reserves

Biddlecombe Cascades is the first campsite you will reach, 8km along the trail on day one of the 62km Jatbula Trail hike. The one-way long distance walking trail starts at Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) and finishes at Leliyn / Edith Falls, usually taking trekkers 4 to 5 days to complete.

Biddlecombe Cascades is one of the many beautiful swimming and sightseeing locations found along the trail. The waterhole is fed by a permanently flowing creek that drops into a lovely waterfall.

After walking the first day of the Jatbula Trail you’ll have plenty of time to set up camp and enjoy lazing about in the rock pools and rapids above the falls. Toilets and an Emergency Call Device (ECD) are located close to campsites.

This highly popular walk needs to be booked in advance – as the limited positions fill early. Walking and camping fees apply.
