Bukbukluk lookout

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

As a result of the constantly evolving COVID-19 situation, Kakadu National Park will be closed until 11.59 pm 18 June 2020.

Parks Australia will continue to enable access to Kakadu National Park for residents of the park and surrounding Aboriginal communities, essential services, and those working in the community.

A lovely little spot for a picnic lunch, this short, pretty walk is suitable for all the family. Enjoy views of old Goodparla Station and the southern hills and ridges. Bukbukluk lookout is named after the pheasant coucal, called Bukbuk by traditional owners. You’ll find picnic tables and a short walk to a lookout with expansive views of the area. The lookout area is easily accessed from the Kakadu Highway.
