Adventure and Outdoors Tours

Top End Explorer Tours is a small family-owned tour operation based in Jabiru, right in the heart of Kakadu National Park.

With many years of experience in small-group touring they take pride in sharing their knowledge about Aboriginal culture and Kakadu’s diverse ecosystems with their guests.

Kakadu National Park protects an amazing variety of plants and animals – many of them rare or found nowhere else – as well as the values of one of the world’s oldest cultures.

Join a small group (maximum of 7) of like-minded people and explore Kakadu National Park’s awe-inspiring escarpment country and stunning waterfalls, observe its diverse flora and fauna, and learn about Aboriginal culture on an adventurous four-wheel drive safari with Top End Explorer Tours.

Tour itineraries are subject to weather conditions and other factors.

Top End Explorer Tours is currently the only operator of day tours based in Kakadu with regular access to this spectacular sandstone gorge in the valley of the upper South Alligator River that is as special a place as it is remote!

Join a small group of fit and active travellers on our exclusive 1 day 4WD adventure to hike in remote wilderness that is accessible to a strictly limited number of visitors only.
Experience spectacular rocky cliffs and escarpments, cascades, deep rock pools and white sandy beaches. Marvel at the diverse endemic flora and fauna restricted to the Arnhem Land escarpment. Learn about local Jawoyn culture and the significance of this remote area.

Parts of Jarrangbarnmi lie within ‘Sickness Country’ (Buladjang country). Bula, a powerful spirit, formed this landscape and then went to live under the ground. Jawoyn (local Aboriginal people) are very respectful when visiting this gorge, and ask visitors to also respect these important sites.

Please note that a high level of fitness and agility is required — not suitable for families with children under 8 years!

We reserve the right to cancel all tours due to seasonal conditions or cultural reasons.
