Barkly Regional Arts is excited to make the first of its Desert Harmony Festival line up announcements. The festival, now in its 34th year, promises to deliver a diverse and captivating program that showcases the vibrant talents of both local and interstate artists.
Set against the backdrop of the Barkly’s desert landscape, Desert Harmony Festival is one of the region’s most significant annual cultural events, bringing together artists, performers, and audiences from near and far.
Attendees at this year’s festival will be delighted by a performance from award-winning singer-songwriter Gumbaynggirr/Yamatji woman Emma Donovan, whose soulful melodies have told powerful stories to audiences right across the globe. Joining her on the line-up is Arnhem Land’s first all-female rock outfit Ripple Effect Band, Pitjantjatjara songman Frank Yamma performing alongside world-renown musician and producer David Bridie, Queensland hip-hop sensation Lil Mase, desert reggae collectiveNewboys Band and high-energy Afro groove group King Marong and the Tamala Express.
