Revealing the magic of the milky way, soothe your soul with the sounds of choirs from Central Australia and interstate at the signature choral concert of the Desert Song Festival. ‘Desert Voice’ is a night of moving music not to be missed!
Nestled against the shadows of the Yeperenye Range at Honeymoon Gap, the voices of the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir will resound through their ‘home’, Arrentte country, in the Tjoritja/West MacDonnell National Park.
The 2020 Desert Song Festival will unite singers, musicians and audiences in this annual celebration of cultural diversity and artistic brilliance. Over 10 glorious days (September 4-13) a myriad of concerts, workshops and masterclasses will present choirs, musicians, small vocal ensembles and solo performers, in a celebration of; the singer, the song, the instrument, the land and its people.
The Festival gives visitors and locals an unforgettable experience where audiences have an opportunity to connect with the original inhabitants of this land through music and song, honouring the ‘UN International Year of Indigenous Language’.
