30 Sep 2018 to 6 Oct 2018
Kakadu is home to more than a third of Australia’s bird species. There will be a range of activities to suit everyone.
The 2017 Kakadu Bird Week will be held from 1 to 7 October with the program designed to cater to both experienced and beginner bird-watchers.
For the keenest bird spotters, there will be experienced local birders vying to tick off the more elusive birds of Kakadu and for the beginners, there will be interactive groups helping to identify different birds species.
Kakadu is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with the majestic landscape providing a perfect backdrop for the rich bird life. You will be able to view woodland birds in the tropical savannah, water birds gracing the region’s famed billabongs, and hear the sounds of richly voiced birds ringing across majestic sandstone escarpments.
