PENTATONIC is a promenade concert across 5 heritage sites in Alice Springs; the Stuart Town Gaol, the Old Law Courts, Flynn Memorial Uniting Church, the Hartley St School Room and The Residency. It brings a two-and-a-half-hour feast of masterworks to the diverse program of events that is- the 2020 Desert Song Festival. Complimentary canapés to finish.
Take “the essential Australian journey” this September to Alice Springs where, over 10 glorious days (September 4-13), the DSF20 unites singers, musicians and audiences, from this vibrant, multi-cultural community, to celebrate Central Australia’s unique story of human occupation, resilience and culture.
A myriad of concerts, workshops and masterclasses will present choirs, musicians, small vocal ensembles and solo performers, in a celebration of; the singer, the song, the instrument, the land and its people.
Using staged, iconic heritage venues across town and the majestic, ancient landscapes of Central Australia as a backdrop, the Festival gives visitors an unforgettable experience, revealing extraordinary musical talents giving audiences a sense of ‘connection to country’.
