Step back in time at the annual Pine Creek Goldrush weekend. It’s hard to resist the appeal of panning for an elusive gold nugget and dancing under a starry sky. If this sounds appealing, then head down to Pine Creek for the Goldrush Festival.
Friday night, 1st June, starts kicks the Festival off with a wonderful display of local art in the Pine Creek Annual Art Prize Night. Would you like to enter a piece? for more details call 89768211.
One of the major highlights is the annual gold-panning championships, which are held on the banks of the creek at the bottom of Miners Park on Saturday 2nd June.
Gold is not the only attraction however, with festivities, a damper-making competition, nugget hunt, food and bar stalls and much more. Another highlight of the festival is the free concert held on the Saturday night at the Lazy Lizard Tavern Main Tce, an evening of entertainment for all the family.
Sunday 3rd June is the Festival finale with Pine Creek’s first ever Uke slam and Open Mic event.
