Dinah Beach Cruising Yacht Association
Food and Drink Stuart Park, Darwin, Northern Territory
Dinah Beach Cruising Yacht Association is a welcoming seaside club that provides services and facilities for yachtspersons plus a thriving social waterhole for locals and visitors alike who enjoy a laid-back atmosphere.
For the sailor there’s a practical range of DIY yacht repair and access facilities including pontoon, careening poles and hard stand. They also host an active yacht racing calendar.
For the landlubber there is a rustic open-air covered licensed venue. You’ll find no gambling facilities, just an unpretentious ambiance to encourage social connection with known friends and new and a variety of local and touring live music every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Visitors are invited to relax, refresh, dine and dance and new members are welcome. Dogs are allowed on the newly upgraded lawn area.
‘Ton’s Bistro @ Dinah’ is open every day for dinner and serves fresh, local seafood from the nearby fishing fleet plus a generous Aussie bistro and specials menu.
Their signature party event, the infamous annual ‘Viking Funeral’, is a must, where costumes abound, live music transcends and where a life-size Viking vessel is built then burned in respect to our fallen comrades.
Located just two minutes drive from Darwin city via Tiger Brennan Drive or Garramilla Boulevard, within Neuron pushbike range and a handy relaxed alternative to the CBD.
