Cloudlake Mountain Retreat is a 65-acre organic, biodynamic farm property at 2,000 feet in a secret valley in the mountains near Ravensbourne National Park.

It offers guests a blissful escape from their busy lives, so wake up to a water view in the fully self-contained cottage. The Boathouse is situated on their private lake, both with decks and verandas overlooking the water.

This house has a wood fire and open decks overlooking the lake The Boathouse is usually just for two but can sleep six with queen bed and double sofa bed, and a double futon in the loft accessed by a ship’s ladder.

Mother of Ducks is a wonderful classic Queenslander with surrounding verandahs high above the lake. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a wood fire and a full kitchen to cook up a storm Mother of Ducks can comfortably sleep four but potentially six.

Down in a hidden dell by the rainforest is Romany Wood, a five-metre bell tent and gypsy caravan for the total romantics. This is just for two guests

Cloudlake provides secluded romantic accommodation for a weekend escape or a longer recharge. Only half an hour from Toowoomba and two hours from Brisbane, Cloudlake Mountain Retreat is centrally located for further exploration to nearby National Parks, lakes, vineyards, antique shops and cafes.

1905 Classic Queenslander cottage with wrap around verandahs overlooking the lake.
There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a full kitchen with an opening onto an outside dining area. Beautiful antique furniture as well as a warming wood fire create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Another dining terrace downstairs, overlooking the lake with a barbecue and trompe l’oeul artwork is a great place for lunch.

The Boathouse is a rural contemporary vernacular architecture replete with nautical design themes, with upper and lower decks overhanging the lake. The northern doors/walls fold back entirely to allow uninterrupted access to lake views. This cottage is wonderfully romantic and has a queen sized bed with muslin canopies with a double futon in the loft. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooktops, electric oven, a microwave and health grill. There is a barbecue on the deck as well as a camp fire by the lake. A comfy hammock on the downstairs deck is great for snoozing.

Romany Woods is located in a hidden dell beside the rainforest. There is a five metre wide bell tent with a full size queen bed to sleep in and beside this is a gypsy caravan with lounge and wood fire to keep you cosy and warm, a bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower and a kitchen with bbq, gas cook top, induction cook top, microwave and refrigerator. Despite all the culinary equipment, you will still feel like you are camping. There is also a fire pit under the huge fig tree beside the rainforest.

Tariff is based on two guests per night. Additional guests incur an AUD45 per person per night charge. All linen and towels are supplied.
An additional AUD75 per stay is charged for full cleaning
