Cooloola Recreation Area Camping, Great Sandy National Park

Long beaches backed by high sand dunes, tranquil waterways, wildflower heaths, freshwater lakes, woodlands and forests make Cooloola a popular holiday destination and a vital refuge for coastal wildlife.

A variety of campsites are provided, ranging from bush campsites accessible only by canoe or on foot to large beach camping zones with facilities and secluded camp sites nestled in the forest.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Book your campsite and purchase your camping permit in advance. Bookings can be made on-line, over the counter or by phone.
