Sandy Creek Camping
Where To Stay Glamorgan Vale, Somerset, Queensland
This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering.
Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land supported his family in a timber slab walled
house. Originally with an earth floor with some flat sandstone rocks in areas, (most likely was the media room :). For water, dry wells were dug and timber lined. (Reminance is
still in-situ). The farm is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production. Still rearing families, we want to leave the land better than we arrived and farm in a sustainable practice. Pets welcome however must remain on leash or tether
*Please notify us if bringing a dog* Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper. Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. Check for local fire ban restrictions first.
There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw). The camp has an undercover area (6×5), longdrop loo, fire pits, bbq plate for over fire. There is a raised bath
tub to set a fire underneath and have a long
hot soak. (Fresh bulk rainwater
is available in the extras).
