Ballymore Oval

Sports and Recreation Facilities

Ballymore was the home of Rugby Union’s State Headquarters from the late 1960s. It was home ground to the Queensland Reds before they moved to Suncorp Stadium. The grounds typically hold approximately 24, 000 people, but exceeded capacity in 1993 when 26,000 crowded in to cheer on the Wallabies as they versed South Africa.

Ballymore continues to host a number of Rugby matches, including the Queensland Club Rugby final.
