Beach Shack Fishing Charters operates offshore fishing and whale-watching trips based out of Spinnaker Sound Marina in Sandstone Point near Bribie Island.

Their convenient location provides immediate access to Moreton Bay. It is less than 15 nautical miles to the rich fishing grounds of Cape Moreton, north of Moreton Island, and the deep blue waters of the Coral Sea. Typical locations – to name a few – include Venus Banks, Cape Moreton, Deep and Shallow Tempest, Flinders Reefs, 9 and 12-mile Reef, many of the FAD locations, including towards the Continental Shelf and many wreck sites in Moreton Bay and the Coral Sea.

Bribie Island is an easy 45-minute drive north of Brisbane Airport or a 50-minute drive south of the Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba.

Individual bookings for 8-9 hour trips are offered on our high-powered offshore fishing charter vessel or the whole boat can be chartered for corporate or your special private event.

Later in the year, Moreton Bay is visited by the migrating humpback whales, where some 40,000 whales pass through on their migration from their feeding to their breeding grounds. Compared to many other commercial whale watching cruises, the Beach Shack’s whale-watching experience is designed to be much more personal, with limited passengers per trip and only 1.5 meters from the water level, offering a magical interaction- sometimes of a very close encounter.

Prospector Fishing Charter

“Prospector” is a 42 foot long, wide-bodied, custom-built Cougar Cat with two powerful Iveco inboard engines providing more than 900hp. This boat is equipped with state of the art navigational systems, RADAR, 3Kilowatt transducers for the Furuno Depth sounders and fish finders and all-new safety and fire fighting equipment.
The vessel comes with all new fishing rods, reels, and other tackle; backed by Bribie Beach Shack Bait and Tackle shop, the boat is equipped with over 1500 pre-made rigs 17 kilometers of spare line and over 2000 hooks for your convenience. A fully enclosed toilet and freshwater wash hand basin are aboard, as are sanitization stations, and when required for events, even a rail-mounted barbeque.

Beach Shack Fishing Charters offer full day charters, between 8 to 9 hours on the water, leaving from Spinnaker Sound Marina in Sandstone Point.
