Brisbane City Hall

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Located in King George Square, Brisbane City Hall is ‘the People’s Place’ of Brisbane. For the past 80 years City Hall has been the backdrop to many of Brisbane’s cultural, social and civic events.

Brisbane City Hall was re-dedicated to the people of Queensland in 2013 after closing for a historic three-year restoration and repair project.

City Hall is open seven days a week with lots of interesting things for visitors to see and do. Visitors can take a free guided tour of the building, view the changing exhibitions at the incredible Museum of Brisbane on Level 3, and ride up the 87.5-metre high clock tower in a restored historic lift.

City Hall has regularly scheduled events in the main auditorium, many of which are free to the public. The Museum of Brisbane also has many free and ticketed events for adults and children.

Brisbane City Hall can also be used as a unique venue to host your wedding, awards night or festival.
