Cruise the lush Daintree River and explore the resort town of Port Douglas.
Wander the Cairns Esplanade with its many cafes, restaurants, galleries, markets and stalls.
Begin your journey up The Cape to Lakeland and Cooktown. Drive to the lighthouse lookout and wander the shores of the Endeavour River.
Through the Barrons Range with morning tea at the Split Rock Art Site. Continue to Coen, the largest inland town on The Cape, then Weipa.
Take an afternoon wildlife cruise on the Mission River.
Visit Fruit Bat Falls for a swim at one of far north Queensland’s most iconic watering holes. Cross the Jardine River by ferry to Bamaga, settled by people from Saibai Island in the Torres Strait.
Take the final slow drive through thick forest to the Northern most point of Australia. Walk out over the rocks for a photo at the very tip of Cape York.
From Bamaga, take the ferry to Thursday Island, the administrative and commercial centre of the Torres Strait Islands. Tour the island including the WWII tunnels and emplacements.
Take the ferry to Horn Island for a short flight to Cairns to transfer t o your homebound flight.
