The tour includes a river cruise with commentary and reef and island experience with a maximum of 100 people. Visiting Normanby island, a National Park part coral cay continental island with a healthy and vibrant surrounding coral reef community. They are the only commercial operator allowed to visit the totally uninhabited Frankland Islands. The tour has the shortest open water crossing and a staff to customer ratio is an average of eight to one.

Protection suits and flotation devices are available free of charge with passenger safety as their priority. You will also have a expert marine biologist on-hand to explain the Frankland Island’s unique eco system. A Master Reef Guide is also onboard.

The Frankland islands are located further south of cairns than Fitzroy and Green Islands and easily within reach of Mission Beach, Innisfail and Tully. Bus pick ups are available from Cairns, Northern Beaches and Mission beach.

Optional activities include: diving – introductory and certified, See Doo – sea scooter, stand up paddle boards and kayaks, adventure snorkelling safari, semi- submersible tour and a guided Island discovery tour with the Marine Biologist.

Enjoy the drive past rainforest clad mountain ranges and open fields of sugar cane, then take in the scenery on the 30 minute Mulgrave River cruise while you travel on board the luxurious air-conditioned vessel. Travel a short open water crossing to Frankland Group National Park where you can literally snorkel straight from the beach across a wide variety of colourful coral and a vast array of tropical fish. Follow giant turtles as they glide through the water.

If you prefer you can view spectacular coral from the comfort of the semi-submersible while crew talk you through the amazing array of fish and coral. You can also explore the island at your leisure or join a guided tour and explore rock pools full of life with their marine biologist.

Accredited dive instructors can help you enjoy a scuba dive amongst the rich underwater world.

You will enjoy a tropical buffet lunch including prawns and morning and afternoon tea, with a licenced bar and snacks available on board.
