Glasshouse Plantation
Things To Do Glass House Mountains, Sunshine Coast, Queensland
Glasshouse Plantation is a working Australian coffee farm that will shortly reopen to provide visitors with a delicious paddock-to-cup experience.
Located in the heart of Queensland’s National Heritage listed Glass House Mountains, the Plantation Cafe and Roastery Door are nestled among 5,000 Arabica coffee trees. They serve Australian grown coffee and tea, with a breakfast and lunch menu focused on locally grown produce, some grown on-farm. At Glasshouse Plantation, it’s more about food metres, rather than food miles!
Mountain grown and value-added pineapple, macadamia nuts, ginger, honey, coffee, tea and jam are available to take home. Visitors can learn about the local families who grow these wonderful products.
A hive of Australia’s tiny stingless bees is always hard at work beside the Plantation Cafe. Their precious, exquisitely flavoured honey is available to sample and purchase.
Glasshouse Plantation offers an authentic farm visit, just one hour’s drive from Brisbane City.
It offers a unique opportunity to meet the farmers, browse at leisure, recharge in the tranquillity of native plants and wildlife, and connect with the spiritual significance of the Glass House Mountains to the First Nationals People of the region.
