Cruise down through the rolling green farmlands of the Tweed Valley towards the iconic northern New South Wales beach town of Byron Bay, where for the first stop they head to The Farm. This lush, working farm on the fringe of Byron is anchored by the lauded Three Blue Ducks restaurant, where you’ll tuck into an incredible lunch showcasing produce harvested just metres from the table.

There’ll be plenty of time to take a stroll around the property to meet the Highland cows, purchase some homegrown sunflowers at the on-site florist, or perhaps grab an ice-cream at Baylato, before heading to Stone & Wood to sample the famed Byron Bay brewery’s multi-award-winning beers.

Still thirsty? Good, because before heading back, you’ll enjoy a tasting at one of Byron’s boutique distilleries. Set in a lush rainforest, Cape Byron Distillery specialises in gin and whiskey while also sharing sustainability stories as epic as their boozy offerings.

Leaving the Gold Coast behind, you’ll be amazed by how quickly the urban jungle morphs into the rolling farmlands of the Tweed Valley in the northeastern corner of New South Wales. The first stop will be at an organic family farm and cafe where you’ll take a walk around the picturesque property, visit a friendly pig, pick some sunflowers, and perhaps crack some delicious local macadamias, depending on the season.

Set on an avocado farm nearby is Earth Beer Company, a community-focused boutique brewery overlooking iconic Wollumbin (Mount Warning). You’ll take a tour of the rustic brewery and sample its tasty beers (with other options available for those who don’t enjoy beer) before heading to Husk Distillery just down the road.

On a tour of this innovative rum and gin distillery, you’ll learn all about Husk’s Australia-first method of making rum from local sugar cane before trying its spirits for yourself. Set on a sugar cane farm with cracking views of Wollumbin and a gourmet cellar door menu, Husk is the ultimate destination for a long, lazy lunch. So that’s exactly what they’re going to be doing here before they drop you back to the Gold Coast.

They hope you’re thirsty because today is all about good libations.

Leaving the urban jungle of the Goldie behind, you’ll cruise up through the verdant green hills of the Gold Coast hinterland to Tamborine Mountain. A rainforest-covered escarpment formed by a 23 million-year-old lava flow. Tamborine Mountain is the gateway to the Scenic Rim – one of Australia’s most underrated wine regions. You’ll be enjoying a tasting at three of its finest wineries on this gourmet day trip, topped off with a two-course lunch at Hampton Wines (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) or Mason Wines (Wednesday and Thursday). A visit to Witches Falls Winery – often ranked among Queensland’s best – is included on every tour.

You’ll also get a chance to sample a selection of the artisanal spirits and liqueurs produced by Tamborine Mountain Distillery, a local icon that has won more than 300 awards for its quirky tipples – eucalyptus gum leaf vodka, anyone? And if you’re a sucker for a great view, you’ll love the spectacular Scenic Rim lookout we stop at before heading back to the city to drop you off.

Tamborine Wine & Dine is also available for groups from Brisbane.

With pickups included within 30 kilometres of both Brisbane and Gold Coast CBDs, your first stop is an eye-opener. Set right beside Burleigh’s famous surf break, Rick Shores is one of Australia’s most sought-after places to eat, and you’re about to find out why. Drink in hand, settle in for a five-course Asian-Australian seafood banquet lunch. Moreton Bay Bug Rolls, duck curry and an idyllic beach backdrop? Kiff & Culture have you covered! If seafood isn’t your thing, no worries, Rick Shores has you sorted with other yummy dishes!

Next stop: Granddad Jack’s Distillery. This unique core range of gins, paired with tonic water, are the perfect post-banquet digestive. The tasting includes a generous serving of three gin and tonic concoctions, all beautifully put together by Jack’s team.

Choose the full day option, and your last stop is Gold Coast local favourite Craft Brewery, Precinct. Love IPA’s or Hazy Pales? Precinct has all types of tasty beers on tap. Not a fan of beer? Try the sours, hazy ales or a host of other non-beer options. You won’t be disappointed – just well satisfied for your return trip.
