Logan Village Museum

Galleries, Museums and Collections

Make sure you visit the beautiful Village Green that is the centre of Logan Village. Its museum and their wonderful volunteers are very keen to preserve the 150 plus years of local history and share the many stories that it includes. Their work is centred on an area that is triangulated by Tamborine, Jimboomba to Waterford with Logan Village at its centre. There are still many of the Pioneer Families who are represented in the current population, its a living dynamic history.

Their enthusiasm to share the stories of the people and places is fuelled by the knowledge that in doing so they in turn acquire a greater understanding of its relevance. The museum can also assist people with their own genealogy and this is an in kind service, as what is shared is never lost.

There is a very interesting collection for both WWI and WWII, along with books which represent this era. Now with the new satellite suburb of Yarrabilba being built close by, they are expanding the knowledge of the area when it was the American military installation known as “Camp Cable Army Base” in the early 1940’s.
