Musgrave Channel

Natural Attractions

For those after a fast-paced drift dive at Lady Musgrave Island then try a dive through the Musgrave Channel. Best done on the incoming tide, so you end up in the lagoon, this channel is a sensational dive and only 13 metres deep.

Drifting along the channel you will be constantly surrounded by fish entering the lagoon to feed, common are fusiliers, trevally, batfish, rainbow runners and surgeonfish. The sides of the channel are cut with small ledges and caves, where reef fish shelter from the tidal flow. While the bottom of the channel is made up of rubble it is a good place to see spider shells, helmet shells and mantis shrimps.
