Rainbow Beach Horse Rides have the only permit in existence to ride a horse along Rainbow Beach, which was rated in the top five most incredible beaches in the world, the third most colourful beach in the world and featured on the front cover of a publication “101 Best Beaches of Australia”.

All rides include riding instruction prior to the ride. Photos are taken by the trail guides during each ride and provided free of charge to all guests. All levels of riding experience are catered for. No riding experience necessary.

The ‘Swimming Ride’ allows their guests to take their horse for a ride into the ocean at Rainbow Beach. You literally immerse yourself into nature by swimming with your horse whilst whales breach on the horizon and dolphins play nearby.

For experienced riders only as this is a bare back ride (no saddle). Riding from the yards at Clarkson Drive, down through a small section of bush and onto the beach and then into the ocean.

This is an amazing and unique experience that you are unlikely to find elsewhere.

It will be a highlight of your life!

The team also carry a waterproof camera to photograph each ride, which are made available to guests free of charge to remember this amazing incredible experience.

The nominated minimum age for this ride is 10 years old and weight limit is 95 kilograms.

A ‘Personalised Beach Rides’ cater for most requests or requirements including special events such as marriage proposals, anniversaries, birthday celebrations and more.

The ‘Picnic Ride’ includes an hour and a half of beach riding then a choice of a dining experience.

It may be enjoying hot seafood whilst sitting on the beach overlooking an amazing ocean or a delicious cheese board on a picnic blanket with a cold bottle of wine.

The “Family Ride” is an opportunity for families with children younger to ride along Rainbow Beach.

Extra guides can lead younger guests.

The cost of this ride is based on number on rider age and number of guests.

The “Beach Ride” is a horse riding adventure along Rainbow Beach, the gateway to world heritage listed Fraser Island (K’Gari) and situated three hours north of the capital of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Rainbow Beach is featured on the front cover of the book “101 best beaches of Australia”, and is rated in the top five most incredible beaches, and the third most colourful beach in the world.

The ride includes a 30 minute ride preparation/demonstration, one and a half hours of riding, including some bush riding along five km of beach on a special permit zone where no vehicles are allowed. Long pants and enclosed shoes must be worn and riding helmets provided.
No previous riding experience necessary.

The team carry a waterproof camera to photograph each ride, which are then made available to guests. Photos can be Air Dropped, uploaded to a USB and a daily selection posted on Facebook.

Minimum age for this ride is 12 yo and weight limit is 95 kg (unless extensive previous experience)

The ‘Beach Full Moon Ride’ is a horse riding adventure along picturesque Rainbow Beach in beautiful Queensland.

This is an amazingly unique experience riding along Rainbow Beach as the sun sets then enjoying the moonlight reflecting off the ocean whilst riding along one of the most stunning beaches in Australia.

Photos are also taken through out the ride and provided to guests either via USB/Airdrop at the end of the ride. A selection of photos are also added to Facebook, with guest permission.

The nominated minimum age for this ride is 10 years old, unless previous riding experience.

Weight limit is the equine industry standard of 95 kg. Please contact Rainbow Beach Horse Rides if you are an experienced rider over this weight.

Water bottle holders are provided on all saddles for guests to bring along a water bottle of up to 600ml.

This ride starts and finishes at our farm in Goomboorian and includes lunch at the popular ‘Silky Oak Tea Gardens’ where you literally step off your horse to enjoy this professionally run, iconic Australian dining location.

During these rides you’ll regularly see wildlife such as Koalas, Platypus, Kangaroos, and Echidnas in their natural habitat. It further includes creek crossings, riding through timbered country, open grasslands and mountain riding.

‘Silky Oak Tea Gardens’ have a well deserved reputation for fine food and beverages.

This ride has proven to be very popular amongst guests. The overwhelming comments from these rides are that people don’t expect such amazing food and such spectacular views!

The difficulty of the ride depends on your previous riding experience and they tailor each ride to the needs of each group or individual.

The “Full Moon Ride” includes an incredible meal at Silky Oak Tea Gardens before venturing to the top of Mount Goomboorian.

Once at the top of the mountain you can watch the sun set and the full moon rise, whilst enjoying some refreshments and taking in the amazing views from around the campfire.

From the top of Mount Goomboorian you can see the ocean at Rainbow Beach and Noosa, Fraser Island, Great Sandy Strait, Sunshine Coast and areas in between.

This is an amazing uplifting experience that will leave you feeling invigorated. It is truly a “bucket list” item.

Rainbow Beach Horse Rides have water bottle holders on each of their saddles. Feel free to take along a small water bottle if you wish. A 600 millilitre bottle easily fits.
