This tour will take you to the heritage Tea rooms at Herveys Range for morning Tea. Before heading back into town to hear about the history of how Townsville was discovered. Hear murder stories, drunk goat stories and about life and drunkenness back in the Victorian era. Travel in an air-conditioned bus as you explore the streets of Townsville and hear their history.

The duration of the tour is approximately four hours.

Ravenswood is fondly called the ghost town that won’t die. It’s an experience that takes you back in time to a historic gold mining town set in a serene natural environment.

The tour offers passionate tour guides that take guests on a relaxing and informative journey where you discover natural wonders, explore heritage-listed buildings, hear of a tales from another era and how life was in the times of the gold rush era and more.

There is still plenty of heritage in Ravenswood to make you feel you have stepped back in time. You are shuttled around in an air-conditioned bus to all of the attractions where you can explore each one at your own pace. There is plenty to experience in this old town.

Your accommodation is in one of two hotels which both were built-in 1902. Some say they are still haunted from the past century.

Raven Tours offer a day tour and an overnight tour which also includes a sunset tour set in nature. It’s an opportunity to relax and unwind in a time long gone.

The itinerary has been carefully planned to include many of the hidden gems in the Hinchinbrook area.

Supporting local, amazing food to sample, discounted produce on the day, and no need to drive.
You will graze your way through the day tasting many varieties of food samples on offer and meet and greet the business owners as they tell you there stories of their business and produce.
If you choose to purchase some of the delicious goods on sale, Raven Tours will carry eskies on board to keep your fresh produce chilled.

If you are on the Overnight Experience; you stay at Lee’s Hotel (The Famous pub with no beer) and will dine in the Herbert Valley Steak House.

On Sundays, take a trip to the TYTO Art Gallery, Wetlands and Mungalla Station for a powerful pioneer tour and a big bush barbecue for lunch.

Ravenswood is a gem.

If you are on the Ravenswood Overnight Outback Adventure accommodation is in one of two hotels which both were built-in 1902. Some say they are still haunted from the past century.

Leaving Townsville Saturday morning and arrive in Ravenswood.
The tour of Ravenswood is for a minimum of 4.5 hours.
Lunch is also provided midway through the tour. You then have the afternoon to explore your accommodation, relax with a cold drink, watch an outback sunset and freshen up a bit before dinner.

On Sunday morning, enjoy breakfast then head into the bush to discover an old silver mining ghost town before heading back to town.
