Toowoomba Trails

Cultural and Theme Tours

Toowoomba Trails have created a series of fascinating walking tours featuring the unique history, architecture, stories, laneways and street art of the city of Toowoomba. Their guides will help you discover hidden gems, secrets and stories that only a local could know.

There are seven different tours on offer, ranging from an insight into the earliest grand homes and cottages to the vibrant city centre’s laneway street art and cafes to tours uncovering Toowoomba’s dark side and secret World War 2 history. Personalised group tours are also available for special events or for groups seeking a unique insight into the city’s past and present.

Toowoomba Trail’s guided walks offer wonderful photographic opportunities, historical insight and knowledge and occasionally special access to places rarely available for public viewing.

Starting at the Cube Hotel, formerly the Courthouse Hotel, this walk features an electrifying mix of architecture and street art found in the surrounding streets, village green and laneways. Explore with local architect Stephanie Keays and uncover a range of fine historic buildings and award-winning modern architectural places. Hidden among these buildings, and the spaces between, is a surprising amount of street art, by local and international artists.

All our tours conclude with a drink in a local pub or café covered in ticket cost. Don’t forget to wear your comfortable walking shoes and dress for outdoors!
