Walloon Markets, held on the first Sunday of every month, are starting 2021 with a new address at 41 Parkland Drive, Walloon.
Founder Chantel Jackson created the markets as a place for country and city folk to mingle and support local producers, artisans and businesses. Just 15 minutes west of Ipswich, the Walloon township and surrounds have a new energy these days.
The country market is a great excuse for a day out with children’s parks nearby and great country pubs for lunch. Grab a bite for breakfast at the markets with a different community or sporting group running a breakfast stall each month.
Among the stall holders are the fruit dessert Dole Whip which originated in Disneyland and Hawaii. These markets were the first in Australia to have the delicious treat on offer!
You’ll also find local wooden toy maker John Haylock with a range of toys that will whisk you back to a bygone era, as well as fresh produce, pickles and jams from around the Lockyer Valley and surrounds.
Browse jewellery, homewares, clothing, second hand books and with a fresh coffee in hand.
This pet-friendly market runs from 8am to 11am.
