From November to May, Whalesong runs their ‘Taste of K’gari’ on their Half Day Beach + BBQ cruise.
As they cruise across to a remote West Coast beach on K’gari (Fraser Island), the team are looking for dolphins, turtles, dugongs and seabirds as you enjoy a delicious morning tea of fresh fruit and a variety of cakes.
Anchor is dropped and guests have the opportunity to swim, kayak, walk, play, take tube rides and explore a remote West Coast K’gari Beach and/or Pelican Bank (depending on weather and tide). The day is on your terms and the Whalesong team are happy to ensure you make the most out of your day.
Enjoy a delicious and freshly prepared BBQ lunch back on board as we cruise back towards the marina.
Small passenger numbers on this beautifully designed vessel provide ultimate viewing and seating space for all. Maximum of 45 passengers (although the vessel is surveyed for 100, so plenty of room).

Enjoy a delicious morning tea of fresh fruit and cakes, on board Whalesong as we cruise across to the remote West Coast of Fraser Island. We look for turtles, dugongs and dolphins along the way. After dropping anchor we have two hours to swim, kayak, play, take inflatable tube rides and explore the beach and/or Pelican Banks. Specific destination determined by weather and tide. Once back on board, you’ll tuck into a freshly prepared Aussie BBQ, featuring local Hervey Bay King prawns, as we slowly cruise back to the marina and enjoy a commentary about the local flora, fauna and history. This 1/2 day cruise is for you to enjoy on your terms.
