Three contemporary Brisbane female artists join forces to triple the creative impact at the upcoming exhibition at the light and spacious Old Fire Station Gallery in Redcliffe.
Joanne Power Cotton’s art delights in interpreting light as it magically plays with her subject. The fundamental focus of her work is to capture this unique moment. Joanne’s paintings cover several genres and mediums, including landscape, seascape, wildlife, still-life – pastel, oil, acrylic multi-media, and watercolour.
Petra Daecke, a pastel and oil artist says painting communicates to all people with different layers of meaning. She combines her deep response to a subject’s energy with her artistic ability to paint the light and the mood of the scene. Petra believes that art has the ability to open people’s hearts and to heal bruised or lost souls.
Louise Corke’s pastels dance! This Master Pastellist describes her painting process. Her heart responds to her subject, and simultaneously, her hand translates these feelings into colourful and light-filled interpretations onto her canvas. Louise provides visual information through the quick touch of her pastel, capturing her immediate artistic response.
The Gallery and Gallery shop has disability access and is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm.
