Art Exhibition – ‘Connected by Thread’ a Broadstrokes exhibition – Old SchoolHouse Gallery

Old SchoolHouse Gallery Cleveland QLD is delighted to present – ‘Connected by Thread’ a Broadstrokes exhibition.

Broadstrokes is a collective of nine artists who reside in south-east Queensland, united by a love of creativity and exploration.

“The name reflects that we are (‘Broads’), come from a wide range of employment and artistic backgrounds. ‘Strokes’ refers to the motion of mark making, acknowledging, and recognising that each of us is inspired to work from our own perspective.”

The range of techniques and materials used encompasses dyeing, painting, sketching, hand and machine stitching, printing, stamping, collage, embroidery, and assemblage.

As a group and individually they have exhibited in Australia, the United States of America, Taiwan, France and New Zealand.

Exhibition from Thursday 2 March through to Sunday 2 April 2023
Opening event – Saturday 4 March from 5.00pm.

All welcome to join their guests and members for this fabulous new exhibition showcasing an amazing array of works in textiles.

The Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday and public holidays – 9.30am to 4.30pm
