12 Oct 2020 to 17 Oct 2020 Once Only Event
Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) is proud to offer a series of art workshops led by two of Queensland’s very talented artists as a special Mental Health Week event.
Phoebe Hofsteede (photographer and mixed media artist) and Maria Watson-Trudgett (Aboriginal contemporary artist) will be leading workshops in their own special way to bring their style of art to you. Both artists have exhibited at the Recovered Futures Art Exhibition.
Phoebe Hofsteede will provide an introduction to the art of flower pressing, and how to delicately craft, design and adhere them to create elegant and unique collages. Participants are welcome to submit their photographs before the closing date of 28 September, or use photographs Phoebe will provide on the day.
Maria Watson-Trudgett is a Wiradjuri person, contemporary artist and cultural consultant. Maria is offering a cultural immersion painting experience. Join Maria’s painting and yarning session where you will learn about Aboriginal culture, symbols in art, traditional vs contemporary art and how to tap into your intuition to express yourself in an explosion of colour.
The ‘Art Works’ Art Workshops are for participants 16 years and above.
Materials are provided.
