As gymnastics becomes the third most popular sport in the country for kids under 12 (overtaking Australian football)* and the city prepares to host the Olympics in 2032, a new kids gymnastics centre is opening in outer south-west Brisbane – and it won’t be the last one.

BK’s Gymnastics, having already established itself in Victoria and New South Wales, is heading north and opening new a centre at Richlands on September 25 at a special, free family open day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Richlands site will eventually be a children’s ‘super leisure centre’ featuring a JUMP! Swim School pool offering children’s swimming lessons under the same roof as the gymnastics classes.

It will open with an exciting line-up of school holiday programs, which are a great way for kids to try out the sport said QLD BK’s Gymnastics CEO Vicki Flamsteed.

“Gymnastics is no longer the highly competitive and serious sport that it once was. Those who want to compete can, but there are also many accessible and fun programs for kids of all ages.

“We’re very excited about opening our doors to the local community these school holidays and letting kids try this wonderful sport.”

Membership specials are available now, starting from $20.95 per week. For more information and to register for the free open day visit the website.
