Heartbreak Hotel: Museum of Love and Disappointments

Breaking up is hard to do; giving away their stuff, however, is not.

As anyone who’s been in love before can attest, relationships come with their fair share of collateral: good and bad. Maybe it’s the wedding dress you didn’t get to wear in 2020, the kettle you stole out of spite, the coin in your pocket the day you first kissed or the hastily scribbled love notes you passed in class 40 years ago.

But while you can’t erase the past, you can get it out of your house and put it on display at QT Gold Coast’s pop-up exhibition: Heartbreak Hotel.

For a limited season from February 1 – 21, 2021, QT will host the Museum of Love and Disappointments. We’ll be pulling together an assortment of local stories and trinkets to curate a collection of heartbreak and love that’ll give you all the feels. Come prepared with waterproof mascara; there’ll be stories to warm your heart, trigger a giggle and tug at your heart strings.

If you’ve got your own object of love lying around, it can be part of the show too. Submit your relationship relics alongside your personal story for display.
