If you’re a high-schooler, you won’t want to miss the first ever Brisbane Teen PepTalks event.
Brought to you by Peppermint magazine in partnership with their friends at the State Library of Queensland, Teen PepTalks will be a fun afternoon hearing from amazing speakers who are making a difference in the world.
Come along and hear inspiring stories, learn about important issues (like sustainable fashion, climate change and self love) and leave feeling empowered to make your own difference in the world.
On the day, you’ll be lucky enough to hear from Amanda Rootsey – author of Shine from Within; a Teen Girl’s Guide to Life; Montana Lower – model turned activist artist; artist/designer Rachael Sarra, who uses art to educate and share Aboriginal culture; Brooke Jamieson – model and mathematician; Holley Somerville Knott, the teenager who founded a social enterprise that helps protect rainforests; Hayley Payne from Oaktree, Australia’s largest youth-run development agency and Sara McKoy – the young Brisbane School Strike 4 Climate organiser; plus the lovely Leah Musch, aka The Unmaterial Girl.
Everyone who attends will get free donuts and drinks and a goodie bag worth over AUD70!
