Miss Mandy and her swinging band of horn players will bring classic tunes that survived the war, the depression and now the pandemic to the RPAC stage.
This stellar show pays tribute to the 1940’s swing era and the stars of stage and screen, such as Natalie Cole, Bette Midler, Judy Garland and Liza Minelli. Miss Mandy and The Horns will blow you away with their first class musicianship, arrangements and high energy entertainment. You will be dancing in your seats to swing classics such as At Last, Route 66, Sway, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, The Way You Look Tonight and many more.
Miss Mandy has been kicking those legs and swinging her head off from a young age and combines Jazz and Cabaret to coin her own style of “jazzaret”. With an early career in variety television, Mandy went on to perform as singer/dancer/acrobat in performances at Jupiters Casino, Tivoli Theatre Brisbane, Club Tropicana Cairns and the Za Za Club in Japan.
Joining Miss Mandy on stage will be Jon Woodend (Music Director), Leon Wensley, Shannon Marshall, Malcolm Wood and Trevor Beyer. Backed by her rhythm section Nick Woodend, Ashley Higgins and Shane Calderbank.
So ‘forget your troubles and just get happy’ and book now for a swing-sational afternoon of music, dance and great stories from the 1940’s.
