Artist Elizabeth Willing and chef Chris Hagan will take 24 guests on a culinary journey via a multi-sensory experience in an immersive live-art performance.
Developed by Elizabeth in collaboration with Chris, Head Chef at The Long Apron, Willing’s art tests the viewers’ stamina through a ‘taste with your eyes, see with your mouth’ approach.
An exceptional bespoke menu has been developed by chef Chris Hagan and it will be complimented by the custom tableware designed by the artist.
The intention of the artist is to engage the diner in a multi-sensory experience with both food and tableware. The Degustation Journey is a series of unique dining performances staged across three events – one dinner held last week at Caloundra Regional Gallery plus two lunches at The Long Apron, Spicers Clovelly Estate on Sunday 15 December and 12 January.
Each conceptual dining event comprises a 7 course degustation experience with matched wines and includes a presentation by the artist, the chef (each course) and the sommelier (matched wine).
Guests will receive a memento signed by the artist and chef. The event series is co-presented by the Caloundra Regional Gallery and the newly formed Sunshine Coast Arts Foundation.
