The Gulf Country Frontier Days Festival

Festivals and Celebrations

15 Aug 2019 to 18 Aug 2019

The Gulf Country Frontier Days Festival is the authentic Outback Australian experience, and brings together National and International musicians, Indigenous and First Nation’s performers and Australia’s best cowboys in the heart of Queensland’s Gulf Country.

The Festival revolves around the Frontier Days Rodeo and the National Indigenous Rodeo Championships. This APRA affiliated event is one of the richest on the Rodeo circuit, and attracts Australia’s top Rodeo talent to the Gulf.

Indigenous Australian and First Nations cultural performers from around the world take to the stage each night, for dance and theatrical performances in the Kabarrijbi Wangkijbi Spectacular – The Coming Together of Nations.

And then there’s the music, headlined by Australian music royalty. Troy Cassar-Daley, Kasey Chambers and Shane Howard have performed at the Festival, together with local and international Indigenous musicians.

If the authentic Outback experience is what you’re looking for, the Gulf Country Frontier Days Festival is a Must Do for you!
