Let them bathe you in a wonderland of warm, overgrown sounds, as they run head-first into summer.
Monique Clare is joined by a heavenly lineup of Brisbane-grown musicians, including Caleb Colledge on drums, Richard Grantham of The VioIa Cloning Project, Rob Davidson of Topology on double bass and Loni Maree on harp. On sitar, Saikat Bhattacharya will warm you into the night with a solo wandering through traditional Indian classical music.
Dancing between intricate, rhythmic cello lines, compelling lyrics and heart-tugging harmonies, Monique Clare is an award-winning folk cellist and singer-songwriter. Onstage she’s described as “pure joy” to watch; offstage she’s hosted mountain-top sunrise concerts, taught cello in Afghanistan and travelled the world to dive deeply into folklore treasure troves. She currently tours as a member of The Maes (formally The Mae Trio) and has performed with Kate Miller-Heidke, Katie Noonan and Darol Anger.
