Samford Valley is opening the gates to a selection of their most inspiring private and community EDIBLE gardens for a day of sharing and inspiration!
These are just some of the things you will see on the trail:
A suburban back and front yard fully converted for food growing
A permaculture garden focusing on perennial vegetables and fruits
A 10-year-old subtropical food forest
An in-ground vegetable garden and orchard built entirely on a slope
A tree changers delightful cottage garden including raised beds, a subtropical orchard and herbal tea garden and of course… chickens
A subtropical orchard with over 220 trees fruit trees and 80 bush tucker trees
PLUS two of our local farmers show the amazing results they have achieved with their small scale diversified farms
Did we mention aquaponics, wicking beds, and chickens that lay pink and blue eggs and much, much more!
Take a wander through any or all of the nine edible gardens open on Sunday, May 16. Your ticket covers entry to all of them!
Children are free with each adult and must hold a ticket due to covid regulations.
The first adult in each group is $10, then each subsequent adult is $5.
