Wildlife Tourism Australia’s biennial national conference, for tour operators, ecolodges, wildlife parks, researchers, students, conservation managers, government staff, NGOs and others interested in environmentally-sustainable wildlife tourism in Australia and elsewhere.
Topics will include tourism assisting conservation, citizen science in tourism, innovative ways to attract tourists to regional areas, the “forgotten ones” (reptiles, frogs, invertebrates, plants), giving captive wildlife a “good life, ” wildlife interpretation, marketing of good-practice wildlife tourism and human-wildlife interactions.
There will will also be a free forum on bird feeding for delegates and the public at Southbank 27 June 2021.
The main venue for the conference is: Griffith University (Nathan campus), Brisbane.
Note: WTA is not a business (it’s a national association Ronda Green of Araucaria Ecotours is currently chair of).
Range of prices is from a day registration to a full registration for non-members past the early bird deadline.
Earlybird deadline is 28th February 2021.
Full registration includes bird feeding forum (free to public and delegates), conference presentations and discussions, lunches and morning/afternoon teas, welcome function and mid-conference field trip.
