An informative and visual display in recognition of the resilience, spirit and sheer hard work of the Indigenous women who played a vital role
establishing the cattle industry in the Gulf Region. The display enhances the experience at the Normanton Visitor Information Centre, housed in the historic and heritage-listed Burns Philp building, which attracts tourists travelling on both the Matilda Way and Savannah Way. This display complements the photographic Indigenous Rodeo Riders exhibition, featuring riders from the area and local poems.
